The short version: ZYRNTOPO Pro is a one-time purchase, and if it isn't what you expected we will refund it. Buy it directly from us and you have 14 days to ask, for any reason at all — email us and we refund in full. Buy it through Google Play, the App Store, or the Microsoft Store and that store handles the refund under its own rules, because that store took your money, not us. If you live in the EU, EEA or UK you also have a statutory right of withdrawal, explained in section 4. This policy sits alongside our Terms of Use.

1. What this policy covers

The core ZYRNTOPO app is free. There is nothing to refund unless you bought ZYRNTOPO Pro — a single, one-time purchase that unlocks the advanced features (3D terrain, unlimited offline downloads, true-scale PDF map sheets, viewshed and premium overlays, and the tactical bridges). Pro is not a subscription: there is no recurring charge, nothing to cancel, and no renewal that can catch you out.

This policy is published by Grange Dev Group, the developer of ZYRNTOPO, and applies to purchases of ZYRNTOPO Pro however you made them.

2. Who refunds you depends on where you bought

We do not take card payments ourselves. Every purchase goes through either an app store or a payment provider acting as merchant of record — meaning that company is the legal seller for that transaction, collects the tax, and issues any refund. Whoever took your money is who refunds it, so start there:

Bought directly from us, on this website

Payment is handled by the provider named on the checkout page, acting as merchant of record. Refunds are approved by us and paid out through that provider, back to your original payment method. Our own 14-day policy in section 3 applies, on top of any statutory right you have.

Bought through Google Play

Google is the seller. Google Play gives you a self-service refund within 48 hours of purchase, from the Play Store app or play.google.com/store/account — that is the fastest route and needs nothing from us. After 48 hours, request the refund from Google Play support, or email us and we will support the request. Google Play's own refund policy and terms govern that purchase.

Bought through the Apple App Store

Apple is the seller, and Apple handles every App Store refund — developers cannot issue them. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. If Apple declines and you believe the purchase was faulty or misdescribed, email us and we will help you take it up with them.

Bought through the Microsoft Store

Microsoft is the seller. Request a refund from your Microsoft account order history, generally within 14 days of purchase, under Microsoft Store policy.

Not sure which applies? Check the receipt. If it came from Google, Apple or Microsoft, that store is your route. If it came from our checkout provider, section 3 is yours. Either way, if you email us we will point you at the right one rather than leave you bouncing between support desks.

3. Our 14-day refund window for direct purchases

If you bought ZYRNTOPO Pro directly from us, you can ask for a full refund within 14 days of your purchase, for any reason — it didn't do what you hoped, it doesn't run well on your hardware, you bought it twice by accident, or you simply changed your mind. We do not require you to justify it and we do not deduct a restocking or processing fee. You get the amount you paid, including any tax collected on it.

We offer this even though the purchase is digital content delivered instantly, and even in places where the law would let us refuse. It is deliberate: a mapping tool you cannot trust in the field is worth nothing, and we would rather refund you than have you carry software you do not believe in onto a mountain.

4. EU, EEA and UK: your statutory right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the European Union, the EEA or the United Kingdom, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract without giving a reason, under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) and, in the UK, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

For digital content that is delivered immediately — which is what a Pro unlock is — that right ends once delivery has begun, but only if you were asked for, and gave, two things at checkout:

Our checkout asks for both, and records your answer. If we did not obtain both from you, your 14-day right of withdrawal survives and you may exercise it by telling us — an email saying you are withdrawing is enough; there is no form to fill in. In practice this rarely matters, because the 14-day policy in section 3 is at least as generous as the statutory right and we apply it worldwide.

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under mandatory consumer law in your country of residence, including rights in respect of digital content that is faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose.

5. What happens to your Pro licence after a refund

When a refund is issued, the Pro entitlement on your ZYRNTOPO account is revoked and the signed licence token issued to it stops being renewed. Because licences are verified on your device and are valid for a period after they are issued, Pro features may keep working until the licence on that device expires; we do not treat that as something you owe us for.

Your own data is never touched by a refund. Saved maps, offline tiles, tracks, waypoints, notes and gear lists live on your device, not on our servers — we cannot delete them and we do not try. The app simply returns to the free tier, which is a complete mapping app in its own right.

6. When we may decline a refund

We would rather explain this than surprise you with it. A direct refund may be declined where:

Declining a refund never affects your statutory rights, and it never affects the free app.

7. How to request a refund

Email [email protected] with:

A sentence about what went wrong is welcome, and genuinely useful for fixing the app, but it is not a condition of your refund.

We aim to reply within 5 business days. Once a refund is approved, the money is returned to your original payment method — how quickly it lands is up to your bank or card issuer, and typically takes a further 5 to 10 business days. We will tell you the date we issued it so you can chase your bank with something concrete if it is slow.

8. Chargebacks — talk to us first

If something looks wrong on your statement, email us before opening a chargeback with your bank. A chargeback on a digital purchase typically freezes the account and the entitlement while the dispute runs, costs the merchant of record a fee whatever the outcome, and takes far longer than simply asking us for the refund. We have never refused a good-faith refund request inside the window, and we are not going to start.

9. Price, tax and currency

ZYRNTOPO Pro is a one-time purchase; the price and currency shown on the checkout page or store listing at the moment you buy is what governs. Depending on where you live, VAT, GST or sales tax may be added at checkout, or may already be included in the displayed price — the checkout page shows the exact total before you pay. A refund returns the full amount you were charged, tax included. Where your payment provider or bank applied a currency conversion, the amount that lands back may differ slightly because of exchange-rate movement between the two dates; that difference is the bank's, not a deduction by us.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy — for example when a new store or payment provider is added. The version published on this page at the time of your purchase is the one that applies to that purchase, so a later change cannot retroactively narrow a refund you were already entitled to. Material changes are reflected here with an updated date.
